The National Skills Development Handbook is now Available

The new 2010/11 edition of The National Skills Development Handbook is now available in Printed and eBook formats, as well as being fully updated. Its a massive 552 pages of beautiful, full colour A4 help, weighing 1,4 kg!).

The Handbook is printed in full-colour, extensively illustrated with supporting charts and diagrams, and includes The National Training Directory with over 120 of the country’s leading HR & Training providers. Updates covered in the new 2010/11 edition include:


The QCTO and Occupational Learning System (OLS)


  • A thorough explanation and guide to the new Occupational Qualifications Framework (OQF) which the QCTO is responsible for implementing,

  • This chapter has been updated in line with the draft regulations - especially with regard to the streamlined approach to Assessment and the roles of Development Quality Partners and Assessment Quality Partners

  • This section has also been updated to include feedback and refinement resulting from information sessions with over 1,000 people across widely different segments of the public and private sectors since January 2009
